Weeds an ongoing collaborative project (Constatina + Catalogue)

Weeds about collections of artists (Lisa Walker, Andrea Daly, Fran Allison and Shelly Norton)

Weeds has created a concatina booklet putting other artists onto 1 page and showing their work they did for jewellery. The texts was written by Grant Thompson, October 2006 who writes about what the artists has done in the future. The text is arranged in 2 columns on Lisa Walker plus other artists concatina. The 4 jewellers mix up their traditional of metals and stones. Lisa Walker and 3 other jewellers created their own jewellery out of recyclable materials and metallic materials as well.

The texts was typed by Grant Thompson in 2006. Grant Thompson types the paragraph into columns about the jewellery artists Fran Allison, Andrea Daly, Lisa Walker and Shelly Norton. These Jewellery artists uses recyclable materials plus some metal chains to make their very own jewellery.

Fran Allison made her own jewellery out of plants and materials. She also uses a king of hearts playing card to create the background for her flower jewellery. She has also brought clothing and bric a brac from the charity stores.

Lisa Walker has been working with 3 other jewellers making jewellery out of recyclings, metals + chains, plants, toys and rubbish bits. One of the artists buy stuff from the $2 shops to make their very own jewellery.

The concatina booklet was made into 4 out of 4 pages. Its because it was each divided for Lisa, Andra, Fran and Shelly. Each page has images of the 4 artists jewellery they made plus 1 page of their smaller images. It also has 3 pages of written texts about what the jewellers has done in their own life.

The concantina was folded into 4 parts using cardboard to make it stand still. It clearly shows the images and stories about the 4 jewellers. It also has a page of the artists name beside the title.

Constatina booklet

I borrowed this image from the internet because I like what this constantina booklet looks like and how this artist made a very long paged constatina. The artist does this by gluing together the folded cardboards and make it into a very long constatina booklet. This booklet is a light colour gold blank page and it is shaped into a swirly snake. The reason why this constatina is shaped into a swirly snake is because it is folded into a very long constatina.

I also borrowed this constatina image through all the selections of constatina images which the artist has made a square shaped booklet. I like this type of constatina because I like the square shaped booklet because the booklet is enlarged for an artist to paste and copy their own drawn or printed images. This booklet is also a blank page which it is in a round shape.

This artist has glued some drawn images plus sticking some printed images onto this constatina booklet. This artist creates this with more details into it and adding different images and texts on this. I also borrowed this image from the internet because I'm choosing different kinds of constantina images. I chose pasted, plain. wet media, drawn and image pasting constantina to show what the artists has done.

Catalogue (Design Jane)

I researched this catalogue through

Catalogue ( Hovie design)

Issac Salazar (Artist book)

I chose Issac Salazar as a book artist because I like how he designs this word inside a bible book. The words Issac has created relates to the meanings of the bible. I like how he designs neat and different words in between which shows that it is very creative for an artist to see. Issac folds the word to make this word stand out. The book couldnt close properly because the page is too fat and it couldnt close properly. Some of the pages were double folded
I found this image through all of the collections of booklet artists which interest me to see this neat design booklet. The words that Issac has created relates to the meanings of the bible or other books. This book couldnt close properly because the artist folds all of the pages to make a origami looking lettering word. He stands the book up to make the presentation look good and clearly  shows the word "DREAM".
